It took me half an hour to walk around the block - and I wasn't going slowly or stopping, either. It turns out there's some huge gated community-thing smack-dab in the middle of where a through street would be - making 'around the block' about 1.75 miles long. The sun went behind a whole mess of clouds shortly after I set out. Boo.

The best way to deal with assholes who live in gated communities: Bicycle U-Locks, 1 at each end, the motor'll blow up on the gate, they'll be screwed for days. Fuck 'em. They don't want me getting in on their streets, that's fair. But I don't want them out on my streets either. I'm not fond of gated communities either.
