Nothing unusual. @ 02:33 am

Current Music: Violent Femmes, American Music

I had a pleasant evening with gnat23 and jorm; we ate chinese food (mandarin ostrich!), and watched Unforgiven. Great movie; the composition and cinematography were just astounding, the acting was good (Gene Hackman clearly relished his part), and the story was three-dimensional. No cardboard heroes, no sir. The cats seemed to like me; Mosfet was amiable, and Simon acted like he vaguely remembered me. I hadn't been up to jorm's place for quite some time - maybe six months, maybe more? Too long.

I've been reading my Friendsfriends page lately; it seems that the FOAFs I have are generally pretty thoughtful and interesting people. (Go figure.) If you have a paid LJ account, check it out - go to your friends page and in the URL change 'friends' to 'friendsfriends'.

weezyl made it out here without mishap, and should be getting relatively close to settling into her apartment. It sounds like she's getting out and seeing people; this makes me glad. I'd mildly worried she'd get culture shock out here, but that doesn't seem like it's going to be a problem. The whole job thing, though...

God I love that movie!

That and Silverado awaken my western obsession pretty much every time.

But for now Flash Gordon calls and everything is shiny and vaguely roman!
