moof's prattling

Last night I went to a party where lots of people imbibed vast quantities of alcohol. I hadn't had myself a boozefest for a while, so it was nice. The Drama didn't even kick in until about midnight (three-four hours or so after people started drinking), which was nice. I ended up being moderately tipsy and went home around 6am.

I woke up around 3pm, and was sorta supposed to go to the Naughty Santa's Black Market around 6, but the friends I was supposed to go with never called, so I ended up eating mediocre sushi instead.

I'm now at the office where there are infinite amounts of coffee to be had, and I'm half-heartedly trying to cajole my webcam to work under unix so I don't have to have Yet Another Machine on or under my desk. Whee!

My mom tends to be kinda strange sometimes; here's a couple of excepts from some mail she sent me recently.

I enjoyed tea from my brand new poop cup [I sent her this mug for her birthday] today--Did you send that by any chance. Thought about taking it to work but I don't let them see my really nice and/or meaningful things.

Thanksgiving was fun at Doug and Barbara's [my Mom's brother and his wife] country estate that they call THE LAND. The house is called the lodge. The boys and their families were there as well as Stuart's wife's parents and son. Jason and Christine have a boy and a girl while Kjerstin and Stuart have a little boy named Anders (Ahhnders, please)

I think I get a lot of my surreal aspects from her.
