Current Mood: disappointed disappointed

I suspect that on Wednesday, when my boss returns, I'll tender my resignation from Google. While it would be nice to transfer to the US office, it'd probably take too long for my sanity and well-being - assuming that there are any jobs that I'd be suited for and for which they'd accept an underperforming newbie.

Meh. I've only ever resigned from full-time jobs all of twice, and both of those times it was to start at a new job.

I'm sure I'd be disappointed too, but this is just a hiccup. You're going the right way.

It's actually sort of expected that people have a considerable ramp-up time when switching projects. I should know, I've done it three times now...

I meant more the span of time involved for the logistics of looking for positions, applying for a position, interviewing for said position, and being accepted/rejected. If I knew I were escaping, that'd be different.

Sorry it didn't work out for you. Glad you're taking care of yourself.
