Have you considered picking up a lightbox to treat your winter depression? I'm -told- they're really effective, but I dont have any experience with them.

It's been a looooong time since we really hung out online, so I'm not sure if you know how cynical I am these days. If you have any inkling, then I hope it will help you believe I'm not some vitamin nut.

That said, get some B12. I had bloodwork this year that showed me so lacking that it was affecting nerve function. When I added supplements, both my energy and my mood elevated immediately, and significantly. I use a sublingual spray, works pretty quickly and pretty well.

As for the light box, I've never used one, but honey has. It works for her. It also helps set the body's daily clock and get you out of bed, if you're not getting enough morning light through a window.

I think you could also supplement your vitamin D, since that's the chemical side of sunlight deprivation. Your body doesn't synthesize enough vitamin D when not exposed to sunlight.
