Went to go see Katteni-Shiyagare last night; they were a hell of a lot of fun. The crowd was rather more excited than at the death metal-kinda-sorta-ish place I went to last month. The opening act was Uri Nakayama, whom I'd never heard before but quite liked; turns out I'm a sucker for altos who can play the trumpet and the accordion. Gonna go see her again in December, assuming they'll let me back into the country.
Speaking of being back in the US: I'm tentatively going to be back in the Bay Area around 11 Nov - 18 Nov, and then in Chicago (to see the parental units) sometime after that. More news after I figure out wtf is going on.
