Good grief, looking over my journal, I sound terribly emo. I have several theories why this might be:
1. I actually am emo. (This doesn't seem too likely; I have neither the glasses nor the hair for it.)
2. Good news is no news, and thus not written about - so what remains is mopey, angsty, etc.
3. When I write, it's usually about some particular thing - and that usually involves some flavor of self-analysis. While I may be plenty cheerful in person about things, some aspect of my issue-laden dirty laundry is often exposed as part of the examination.
4. I have no idea what to write about, and writing emo-esque things is the easiest.
This started out being a post about relationships and stuff like that - in particular, how I tend to be very, very quiet about stating affection or interest in people (and thus end up not getting involved with people unless they express something first) - but it's too hot for me to assemble my thoughts coherently for that* - and it's supposed to be 85F tomorrow. Yeesh.
* giving credence to #4, perhaps?
