Ugly money. @ 12:57 am

Current Mood: irritated irritated
Current Music: Mike Flowers Pops - Bowie Medley

I was talking to someone in Germany who was mentioning that he was upgrading his university's accounting software to use Euros instead of Deutschmarks, and what a pain in the ass it was; I hadn't realized that the EC countries were gonna start forcibly using the Euro in under a month.

The new bills and coins are just dull, though; they've removed any character from the currency whatsoever. No more works of modern art on the Dutch Guilder - just dull all over. Sigh.
More info than you ever wanted to know about the uglymoney is here.

Tom, Kant asserted that time and space are the only things which are temporally real, and that all other things may be empirically real, but are temporally ideal. Given that, how can you defend the idea that these so-called "coins" have any kind of real traits independent of your own limited consciousness?

Aren't you worried that Kant will come and kick your ass?

Monkeys.
