The combination of coffee brewing, and brown rice and miso cooking, together smell like very yeasty bread baking. It's a really strange olfactory illusion.

The term for a combination of flavors turning into a flavor unlike any of the component flavors is, I've heard, a fantasia.

I expect you'll be seeing dancing brooms soon enough.

I was going to say that I don't know what dancing smells like, but then I remembered goth clubs in the late 90s. Brooms plus sweat equals Mickey or something.

The weird thing is, I read the term "fantasia" in one of those books of "Secrets You're Not Supposed to Know" talking about the Coca-Cola recipe (which is a fantasia of vanilla, cinnamon, and citrus) like 20 years ago...

...and now I can't seem to find a reference to the term or the book since then.
