I've so far been very very unimpressed with my Symbian phone. It's slow, and the interface is pretty damn awful. What's somewhat redeemed it, though, are the j2me apps available for it: specifically, that I've found kana and kanji quiz/flashcard programs. (Also, the rikaichan extension for firefox, which will popup kanji definitions upon mouseover, is pretty damn nifty. Much better than moji, I think.)

Hah, I think I'm funny. I first read that as a Sybian phone. That's one hell of a vibrate mode.

I too read it as "Sybian." And I thought, "Is there nothing the Japanese can't make better?"

I love rikaichan!
I also like the popjisyo, which adds the popups to a url or to selected text.

It also works for a couple other asian languages!
