Current Mood: cheerful cheerful
Current Music: Siouxsie and the Banshees - Cities in Dust (ex remix)

As opposed to the incredibly difficult 'What emotion is this person feeling, just from seeing their eyes' test, I got 19/20 for the Spot the Fake smile test. HA! Fear my high-functioning autistic powers! (Especially since "Most people are surprisingly bad at spotting fake smiles.")

I also went to the Anime Overdose staff meeting today; if any of youse fine people are interested in volunteering for ConOps, gimmie a holler and I'll point y'all in the right direction. The event itself, March 4-6, looks promising; the Tokyo Dark Castle stuff, in particular, sounds really nifty - they're going to have Psycho Le Cemu, for one.

And while I'm at it - are any of you peeps planning on going to Dr. Quinn's wedding in Vegas in April? If so, would any of you be interested in coordinating travel plans?

it's looking highly unlikely unless it happens on a different day or early in the day so i can get back for school.

if you go, could you take along a wedding gift to them? i really really really really wnat to go, but it's quite unlikely.

If I go, I'd be more than happy to bring it along.

I managed to get 18 out of twenty. I could almost always spot a faker, which I guess is why I didn't get along with the other kids in school.

I did far worse than I thought I would. I called all the fake ones - but mistoook genuine ones for fake ones, hence my errors.

I think, perhaps, I am too suspicious.

I did the same thing, and got 13 out of 20 correct.

i got 17 out 20--what i find interesting is that i had more of a tendency to think a smile was fake when it wasn't (well, I guessed two were fake that were genuine, and I guessed one was genuine that was fake--not sure how much of a "tendency" that counts as).
But--how do the creators of this "test" determine what is genuine and what is fake?

If I were to guess, they'd videotaped people, then either told a joke, or told them to smile.
